Inspirations-

Black Swan

This film was an film amazing film, when i was doing research i noticed that this film stood out from the rest of the psychological films because it had a completely unique story line which other films do not have. However when i first got introduced to this film i noticed the actresses in the film, i was more drawn because i was a huge fan.
'Mila Kunis, and Natalie Portman'. We mostly liked the idea that the protagonists are females. so this automatically told us this film would be suitable. when we researched about this film and also watched it we noticed that it was a film about obsession.
We like many ideas from this film because it is very similar to our film, the main part we liked about this film was the distinguished friendship between the two characters, We also like how the movie was set.

Why we chose the title 'Lost Soul'

'Lost soul' was a good name for our film, it suited the protagonist in many ways. We came up with the name 'lost soul' by first establishing  what our film was about and then noticed that the protagonist was in a mental state; we came up with many different words to explain what she is going through then we realised that our character is a 'has Lost soul' the name sounded amazing to us, and we chose it because it explain what she is in 2 words.

The flash back scene

(Old Storyline)
the true meaning behind the Flash back scene

The flash back scene is the main scene of our movie; because it explains a lot about the character and shows how she is feeling. In this scene we also meet other characters and use new techniques. It will begin with the main character sitting down on the chair and she begins to start righting on a plain paper, then the camera does a close-up and we slowly start to notice that what she is righting does not make sense. The reason we chose to do this is to add more tension on the movie and to show that their is something wrong with her.

We then slowly go into the flash back and see her and her friends laughing and enjoying them selfs. Before we do this the camera lighting will change from the dim scene when she was depressed to the bright happy joyful scene. The reason we do this is to show that colour does show emotion; and when she is with her friends she looks like a complete different person. We are slowly want to gain the audience attention on how different she looks to comparison when she is alone in the room depressed.

*This was written before we changed the content of our film, we don't have a flash back scene anymore*

The Lost Soul; Inspirations,Influences and ideas.

Our character is a girl who does not really know herself. She has lost sense of everything going on around her. She finds it hard to cope with everyday stressors thus meaning she has mental issues. Her character is one who doesn't really speak much however expresses this mental illness through her actions for example. One gesture we decided on to make the audience aware of her mental illness is of her switching the lamp on and off continuously but simultaneously.

We chose the genre psychological thriller because we were inspired by existing films of the same genre like :

The film se7en was watched by the entire class and this inspired us to create a psychological thriller.

We also viewed pictures to help us get a brief idea of what we should include and how things should be done
